PRIVATE BETA

MyRacingPath is in private beta and not open to the public. These policies apply to you now: they are not drafts. We update them as the product changes, and we will tell you before any material change takes effect.

REFUND POLICY

Last updated: 20 August 2026

1. What this policy covers

  • This policy explains when you can cancel a MyRacingPath subscription or credit top-up, when you get money back, and how to ask. It is issued by MY RACING PATH LTD, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17355031), whose registered office is 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ.
  • It sits alongside our Terms of Service, which set out the full subscription and credit rules. If the two ever disagree, tell us, and the Terms win until we fix it.
  • Nothing here takes away your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

2. During the private beta

  • Subscriptions are closed for the whole beta. Our checkout refuses every purchase, we take no payment, and any paid features on your account were switched on by us at no cost. There is nothing to refund because nothing has been charged.
  • If you see a charge from MyRacingPath that you did not expect, email support@myracingpath.com and we will put it right.
  • If you already hold a paid subscription from before the beta, you can still cancel it at any time. Section 5 explains how. The beta does not change that.
  • The rest of this policy describes how refunds work once subscriptions are open. We will tell you before anyone is asked to pay for anything.

3. Your 14-day right to cancel

  • A MyRacingPath subscription is a service bought at a distance. Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 that gives you 14 days, starting the day after you subscribe, to cancel for any reason. You do not have to give one.
  • Your paid features switch on the moment you subscribe. By subscribing you expressly ask us to start the service inside your 14-day cancellation period, rather than making you wait two weeks for what you paid for.
  • Starting early does not take the 14-day right away. Under Regulation 36, if you cancel within the 14 days you pay a proportionate amount for the service you have already had, worked out from the day you subscribed to the day you told us you were cancelling, against the full price of your billing period. We refund the rest.
  • The right to cancel is lost only once the service has been fully performed. A monthly or annual billing period is never fully performed inside its first 14 days, so in practice you can always cancel during the 14 days and get the unused part of your money back.
  • To cancel within the 14 days, use the route in section 5, or just email us. Saying clearly that you want to cancel is enough; no form is required.
  • This applies to your first subscription. Renewals are covered in section 4. Your statutory rights are unaffected.

4. Renewals

  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period, monthly or annual, at the rate in effect at the time. Renewal charges are not refundable except where the law requires it or where we are at fault.
  • To avoid the next charge, cancel before your renewal date. Annual subscribers get a reminder email five working days before each renewal.

5. How to cancel

  • Open Plans & Pricing in the app and press Manage plan on your current plan, or Manage subscription and billing. That opens the Stripe customer portal, where you can cancel straight away. This works during the beta as well as after it.
  • After cancelling, you keep your paid features until the end of the billing period you have already paid for. When it ends, your account moves to the Free tier. Your data is not deleted.
  • We do not refund the unused part of the current period, except where we are at fault. If you would rather we did, tell us why: see section 7.
  • If the portal will not open for you, email support@myracingpath.com and we will cancel for you.

6. Credit top-ups

  • Credit top-ups are one-off purchases. The credits land on your account as soon as the payment clears and are spent once your monthly allowance runs out.
  • Top-up credits are not refundable once purchased, except where the law requires it or where we are at fault, but they do not expire while your account is active.

7. When we refund you anyway

The 14-day window closing does not mean you can never get money back. We will refund you, in full or in part, where:

  • We made a billing error, for example charging you twice or charging you after you cancelled.
  • The service is not as described, or is faulty and we cannot fix it within a reasonable time. That is your right under the Consumer Rights Act 2015: repair or replacement first, then a price reduction or a refund.
  • We withdraw or materially reduce a paid feature, or make a change to the Terms you do not accept. In both cases you can cancel and we refund the unused part of your subscription pro-rata.
  • We close your account without cause. You get 30 days' notice and a pro-rata refund of any unused subscription.
  • Something else has gone wrong that we have not listed. Tell us, and we will look at it properly.

8. How to ask for a refund

  • Email support@myracingpath.com from the address on your account. Tell us what you paid for, when, and what went wrong. We aim to acknowledge within 24 hours and give you a full answer within 7 working days.
  • Refunds go back to the payment method you used, through Stripe. We send them the day we agree them; your bank or card provider usually shows the money within 5 to 10 working days.
  • Once a refund is agreed, your account moves to the Free tier from the date the refund covers. Your data is not deleted.

9. Under-18s

  • Nobody under 18 can buy anything on MyRacingPath. Checkout is closed to everyone for the whole beta, and once it opens, any paid subscription covering an under-18 driver must be held by a parent or guardian: either an individual plan in the parent or guardian's name, or a Team, with the parent or guardian as team manager and the driver on a driver seat.
  • Because the parent or guardian is the payer, the cancellation rights in this policy are theirs, and any refund goes back to the payment method they used.
  • The Free tier has no cost, so no refund applies to it.

10. Changes to this policy

  • We may update this policy as the product changes. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the current version.
  • We will tell you before any material change takes effect. A change never takes away a refund you were already entitled to.
